Youth Exchange in Palermo (ITALY) - August 10th-19th '11

Project title : “A way for Solidarity and Inclusive Growth in Europe"

Place : The youth exchange will take place in Altofonte.

Duration : 10 days, including the travelling days,from the 10th to the 19th of August

Participants : The project will involve 24 participants from 6 countries (Italy, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Netherlands, Hungary) plus 6 leaders, one from each country. Two thirds of the youngsters involved will be youth with fewer opportunities and in particular coming from migrants communities.

Costs : The last day of project you will receive ticket reimbursement, in rate of 70% of travel costs.

The main theme of this youth exchange will be antidiscrimination with the aim of providing the youngsters with relevant experiences, knowledge about the different kind of discrimination, stimulus for reflection and practical tools to build the way for solidarity and inclusive growth in Europe starting from youth and volunteering. Through informal methods of education as learning and cooperative games, debates, cultural visit and so on the young participants will undergo a learning process that will support them to become conscious and active European citizens and fight every kind of discrimination.
