A Compass Egyesület Önkéntese voltam
For the great pride of my parents in 2008 I completed the deparment of Youth worker at the University of Kaposvár, and I started the job hunting. I tired unsuccesfully for almost a year. In most of the cases I haven't even get to the interview. Usually the problem was, that I haven' t got any work experiance, and because of this they did not gave me big hopes not even at the unemplyment center.
At this time I found an intership programme, which gave me the opportunity to work at a youth organization. I was situated at an organization, which did not give me any opportunity to develop. I didn't feel that my work is useful. At one event I met with the leaders of Compass Organization, and I immadiatly decided to join them.
From the beginning I latched on in the work of the organization, I organized different activities, I offered support, and guidance to the youngsters. I had professional guidance, I finished two trainings, and I could practice English and German, by interacting with the international volunteers. All my collegues became my friends.
With my mentor, and with the leader of the Compass, we often talked about my future, after the end on my intership programme. During my time at Compass I learnt how to write a good Cv, motivation letter, how to sell myself during an interview. At the end of the programme I developed self confidence, and self respect.
Right now I'm working in a Family Center, and I can say, that my experiences as a volunteer at Compass organization are helping me, at my current workplace, and I can proudly say, that I was a volunteer at Compass Organization.
