Hurry up! Youth exchange in Gubbio (Italy)!

Project title: "ReThink the space: Through art and recycling shape a disabled and eco friendly world"

Duration: about 13 days, from the 14/10/2011 till the 26/10/2011.

Partecipants : 4 youths and 1 leader

Age: between 18 and 25 years old.

The project will involve about 24 participants from 6 countries plus one leader from each country.

Description: Combining leisure activities with artistic workshops and practical contact with the surrounding nature the youngsters will develop themselves and their attitudes towards the environment and the surrounding space as something to be built around the people and to live in relationship with others, each one with his own uniqueness through an informal education process.

Through informal methods of education as learning and cooperative games, debates, cultural visit and so on the young participants will undergo a learning process during which the art will be the red link to a further develop awareness.

This will be about environment and space, mean bought as social and natural, with the opportunity of build a new view point, using the cooperation between the specificity of different backgrounds and the instruments coming from the place.

This together with the various non formal activities will lead the participants toward a personal growth, the development of a civic conscience and therefore the feeling of belonging to a community with a positive impact in their

personal path.

The youth exchange will take place in a country house which for long has had a specific attention for accessibility, with the idea that natural beauty and art can be enriched from the contribution of people with different abilities, placed in Umbria.

Participants don't need any prior knowledge about art.

Costs: the participation is completely free, the participant don’t no to pay any fee. Moreover the 70% of the travel will be reimbursed and lodging, food, accommodation and any other activity cost will be entirely covered by the project.
