Emőke from Romania
Compass: From where did u hear about EVS?
Emőke: First time I heard about it, when I got application, but really I heard about it, when I arrived here in Hungary.
Compass: Why did u choose Hungary?
Emőke: I didn't choose, I just sad why not.
Compass: What are your goals to reach during your project
Emőke: Huh, I first if I think during what I won on the project it is: lots of friends all around in the world, after I improved my personal skills, now I feel I changed myself, I'm more stronger then before I arrived here. I learned lot of thing about the different cultures, and about the peoples, and in the end I learned lots of thing about the organization like, if I want to organize some event what is the important thing, how can I organize international events, camps. I learned as well about the youth, and what kind of program can help for them, I mean now I know what those it mean Youth in Action, witch is very useful , good idea to see the world, open your mind, and start to be independent.
Compass: What u like in Hungary?
Emőke: I like some cities, like Pecs, Gyor, Badacsony. I love Balaton, last summer I was so lucky, because I cached the last hot day from the summer, and I went with one friend to the Balaton. Before I just saw it, but I never swam in the lake, so I made it.
Compass: What was the most strange thing in Hungary comparing with your country?
Emőke: The most strange is the people, the youth. It's a little bit negative feeling, because very hard motivate the youth to do something for themselves. How I saw they don't interesting anything else, just party, etc. In my country it's not like this, we are thirsty for the new thing, that's why we have a lot of festival, event during in the year.
Compass: What about Hungarian people, friends?
Emőke: I got some Hungarian friends too, with them I will keep the contact, and I hope in the future we will meet again.
Compass: What do you wanna do after your evs?
Emőke: I'm going home, to stay a little bit with my family, friends. After I'm going to Winchester (in UK), there I will work like nanny, and next to this I try to building my carrier and working with one fashion photographer. I will be his assistant. But I don't want to give up this voluntary service stuff, I want to continues to motivate the youth to abroad, to go EVS.
Compass: Where u imagine yourself after 5-10 years?
Emőke: In London like photographer at one big newspaper, or at magazine.
Compass: What is your fav. food, music, movie?
Emőke: Huh. I like almost every food, in my project I tasted some Turkish and Portuguese food, from our Turkish and Portuguese volunteer. Music? I can listen lot of music, but mostly I listen: Lilly Alen, Rihanna, Pendulum, Fiest, Paramore, Coop, Ellie Goulding, Wax tailor, etc. The last movies what I saw : Never let me go, Black swan, Freedom writer. My favorite movies: Freedom writer, Night on the Earth, NINE, etc.
Compass: What is your most annoying habit?
Emőke: I don't have so much patience. Lot of time I don't have mood to do anything, and many times I say I don't care. I'm maniac cleaner. But the truly I don't know, so it will be better if you ask my colleges.
Compass: What did u want to say in the end for the Hungarian or foreign peoples?
Emőke: First I would like to say thank you all, for everything. In the end my message for the local and foreign peoples is : Never give up, go and take your time, enjoy the life, be independent, and never say NO, because YOU CAN DO IT! Csokolom, s ala szolgalja:
